This moment was fueled by the righteous anger of Black talent across the marketing industry. Continuing this movement means everyone needs to commit to driving lasting, meaningful change. Join us.
Recruitment. Retention. Recognition. Resilience.
Making progress on our mission to amplify and advocate for Black talent in advertising and public relations requires investments in actions, programs, and partnerships that fuel long-term and meaningful change. This includes:
operationalizing our core mission and values through dedicated staff
establishing programming that fosters progressive conversation and policy
solidifying the foundation of support for the next generation of Black talent
Where your support goes.
Mission support
Acting upon any of the core needs of our collective is lovingly supported by a team of volunteers who understand the struggles facing Black talent. Pushing our agenda forward will take a dedicated group to sustain that mission, and bring more substantial improvements in Black talent joining and staying in advertising and public relations roles.
Policy-informed programming
The opportunity gap 600 & Rising looks to close can only be aided with better workplace policies—it’s on leadership to understand how issues like pay equity, microaggressions, and racial bias hinder an industry that’s made better by who’s in the room and how much input they’re allowed to bring. Our work with partners will help current Black talent and push leadership to take the necessary steps to create environments that best value them.
Grants and scholarships
Advocacy is bigger than lip service. There’s practical issues that 600 & Rising can lend a hand in: from funding college students who pursue creative, technology, and strategy roles, to DE&I practitioners who need assistance to build out proper internal programs to address the needs of their teams and colleagues.
